The Hangover

Do you believe that a movie with a budget of USD 35 million can generate greater revenues than Angels and Demons and Terminator Salvation? The hangover is the biggest surprises this year. Of course, this kind of movie is not always successful in the markets outside the United States. For examples are Knocked Up and The Wedding Crashers. Both were a huge success in America, but not too successful in foreign countries. How about The Hangover?

Shinjuku Incident

In the 90s, most of the economy in China is still poor. This is perhaps not so obvious in big cities like Shanghai or Beijing, but for residents in rural areas and small towns never did taste the internet or a computer, even watching TV was a rare thing for them. In search of better living, much of the population of China decided to try his luck and crossed over to Japan. The risks are certainly greater. In addition to flee from the border police of China and Japan, they also have to jostle in the boat and crossed over to Japan. Up in Japan though, the language is still a constraint. The film is directed by Derek Yee who is trying to highlight the lives of Chinese immigrants squeezed by the Japanese Yakuza.

Rob B Hood

Jackie Chan once again released his new movie titled as Rob-B-Hood. It looks like Jackie Chan wants to play in different theme in his movie. He wants to add more of drama instead of bigger portion of action. If you watched Jackie Chan’s movie of the new police story, he already try to add a drama into his movie, even though, it was not as much as Rob B Hood. This time, he plays along with Louis Koo and share the acting with him. Not like his previous movies, he took most of the percentage of all the actions.

Forbidden Kingdom

It was a surprise when I heard the news Jackie Chan will play in the same movie with Jet Li. There was a rumor about it since a long time ago, but it was postponed so many times because of the schedule of both actors. It looks like they successfully managed to find the time to make this movie together. Even though, the story is not the best one for these two most reputable martial arts actors. Jackie Chan admitted that this is not the best script for them, but he afraid, they cannot find any other time to make a movie together, so be it.

The Book of Eli

One thing that makes me wants to watch this movie. It is because the name of Denzel Washington is on the cover. I am one of his big fans and I have watched so many of his movies. Say it like Bone Collector and Training Day are my favorites. And then follows with excellent movies like The Taking of Pelham 123 and Dejavu. He has done so many good movies and showing an amazing acting skill. I am sure that many people will agree on this matter.

One more year is passing by. So many movies have been produced during 2009. Some of them are good and some are not so well. Here are the list of good horror movies during 2009. If you missed the movie, you may want to find the DVD and watching it at home.

Detective Hoffman is planning to carry the final scheme from Jigsaw, but he doesn’t know that Jigsaw has a grand final scheme.

Mark Rolston as Dan Erickson

2. The Twilight Saga: New Moon
After Bella recovers from the vampire attack that almost claimed her life, she looks to celebrate her birthday with Edward and his family. However, a minor accident during the festivities results in Bella’s blood being shed, a sight that proves too intense for the Cullens. He decides to leave the town. Initially heartbroken, Bella finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as well as an even-closer friendship with Jacob Black. Danger in different forms awaits.

The Bank Job

I am not a big fan of British’s movies, but I have to admit that this movie is a good. Like other common movies, it has a main actor that all cameras always focus on him. Jason Statham fills in as the main actor in this movie. For those who never know who is Jason Statham, he was born in 1972 in the city of London. Jason Statham has done quite a lot in a short time. He has been an Olympic Diver on the British National Diving Team and finished 12th in the World Championships in 1992. He has also been a fashion model, black market salesman and starting his actor debut in 1998.

Since then, he has done some good movies, say it like, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch (plays with Brad Pitt), The One (Plays with Jet Li) and the big hit movie was Transporter in 2002. Then, it was followed by another hit of British movie called Crank. He is my favorite British actor up to now.
